How to start an Alliance in Ikariam

Ikariam embassy

The first thing you need to do if you want to found an Alliance is to build an Embassy, and then upgrade it up to level 3. You would also need 3 unused diplomacy points (you get them when you upgrade your Embassy, 3 points for each upgrade). It is recomended to save all diplomacy points to invest them in the Alliance once you have set it up. Each time you invest diplomacy points in your Alliance we rise the maximum amount of members that can join it. keep in mind that only the Leader (or founder) will be able to invest Diplomacy points in the Alliance.

Once we have fulfill all the requisites the Embassy will unlock the Found Allieance button gor you..

Fact : At the beggining and for about three weeks, you only needed 3 unused Diplomacy points to found an Alliance in Ikariam, which means that you could found one with only an Embassy level 1. This was changed and looks like it wont be taken back.

Your Alliance can level up, which means more members can join in. The Embassy has to be upgraded to get Diplomacy points, which in turn you will invest into your Alliance to level it up. Use the "Transfer Diplomacy Points To Alliance" buttom that will will find in your Embassy. Keep in mind that only the Leader (or founder) of the Ikariam Alliance has the ability to transfer such points.

Ikariam Alliances: Ranks

Not all members are equal in your Alliance, some of them special titles that carry special powers. There are 4 of those titles avaiable and it is the Leader or Founder decision to give or take such ranks to members. When an Alliance is founded, the Leader has all 4 powers in his or her hand. The Leader can then invite/accept members to join the Alliance and give them ranks and titles. The 4 ranks are:

Leader
  • Receives a small amount of bonus resources every day, dependent on the number and strength of the individual alliance members.
  • Can change the name and tag of the alliance.
  • Can assign the important posts (diplomat, general and interior minister)
  • Can disband the alliance.
  • Can appoint a new leader, provided they have enough free diplomat points to assume leadership of the alliance.
Interior Minister
  • Responsible for the admission of new members and the dismissal of old members from the alliance.
  • Can see the resources of all alliance members.
  • Can determine and assign the ranks within the alliance.
  • Can edit the internal alliance site. This is only viewable to alliance members.
General
  • Can see all the troops and war ships of members.
  • Can see all attacks from or on members of the alliance.
  • Can call back attacks from alliance members.
Diplomat
  • Can edit external alliance site. This is the site that non-members see when they want to look at the alliance.
  • Can manage alliance agreement.
  • Can see the alliance partners of all alliance members.
  • Receives messages sent to the alliance.
